Banyan Tree e.V. – support that matters!

KinderPoverty and hunger exist all over the world, unfortunately. Most of the time, it is the children who suffer the most because they are being robbed of their future. They do not have the possibility to attend a school and they have to work for their living. They live at the poverty line day by day. It is not possible to overcome all the misery in the world at once but every small contribution is a step forward:

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world !" (Nelson Mandela)

We have had this thought for a long time. On a trip to Cambodia, the school project for poor and orphaned children in Thavong was brought to our attention. Back home, we founded Banyan Tree e.V. with our friends and ever since, we support children and teenagers in collaboration with our partner organizations around Battambang.

POC SchuleThe organization has been growing continuously. We are now also able to support families in other Cambodian provinces. With our help, the Cambodian branch of Banyan Tree e.V. is now an independent, local NGO. We are very proud of the foundation of Mlup Dam Poo ("Shadow of Banyan Tree") because it shows that our work truly helps people to help themselves. Of course we support MDP since it is now in charge of all our projects in Battambang.

Please take a look at our website and check out our present projects! There are plenty of chances to get involved. In the column "News", you can find information about our latest work. We would also appreciate if you supported our groups on Facebook and other social networks.
